Obviously the Mets don’t have the luxury of having a Kenny Powers on their team, but they need to rally around a new theme given they are going to have to get it done with the likes of Ramon Martinez for a while. Now I don’t know if the shaving head thing will work for them this time but they need to do something. Over the last 3 games, the mets have averaged 1.7 runs. Against the Dodger Blue and the upcoming series against the Sawx…thats just not going to get it done….I have faith that things will pick up but we have NO room for error. On the topic of Ramon Martinez, is there something wrong with Castillo, or was last night simply ‘a night off?’ I hope not, because tonight I’m expecting to see
Sheffield, Beltran, Church, Wright, Reyes, Castillo, Murphy, Castro around the diamond.

Ahh, good point about Sheff, I’d forgotten that.
That is indeed bad news about Cora. He was pretty much everything I wanted and expected him to be, on and off the field. Certainly not ‘garbage.’

They said it was his normal day off and Sheff was sick so we ended up with what we got. However, if it keeps Ramon Martinez out of the lineup he needs to just tough it out.
Did anyone notice that Cora is out 6-8 weeks. Not good. I liked him.
