I was extremely impressed with Pelfrey mixing in his secondary pitches. He admitted to throwing a curveball, slider and change to go with his fastballs. It keeps the hitters off balance and stops the hitters from locking in on his fastballs. If he can continue to do this he becomes a legitimate front of the rotation pitcher.
