After the obvious names on that list (Bletran, Reyes, and Delgado). I would rank in order of importance at this point in time:

    1. Cora
    2. Ollie
    3. Church
    4. Wagner
    5. Schneider (sorry dude – seems like a nice guy, but the catcher position really hasn’t missed a beat).

I think once Omar finds a trade partner for Lord Helmet, he is gone.

That’s really good news on Cora, initial prognosis was much worse.

I like that note on Wagner “due back at the end of the season.”

It is pretty funny about Wags, but think about Wags bolstering the bullpen late in the season. He could be used as a situational lefty . He is pretty dirty on lefties.

I wonder how long Ollie’s bruised ego will take to heal.

Don’t really think Ollie knows the difference between Buffalo and Flushing. He is a space cadet.

He noticed that Buffalo was cold, but other than that I’m inclined to agree.

he probably thinks he’s in t.j.

and why are buffalos mild, medium, or hot?

Watching the Bisons game on SNY right now. Figgy is pitching, BTW. Gave up a 2 run homer.
Anyway, all the announcers could talk about for two innings was A. Reyes. Apparently he’s hitting 344 since 19 May – tearing it up, as they said. And he’s made the switch from 2nd base to SS. Said his defense has been stellar. They couldn’t say enough about him, his range, his arm, etc. And he had just made a nice play to get a double play started (I believe, have it on in the background while I’m working) and then they gushed about him some more.

I wonder if they switched him over to short b/c of Reyes and Cora with injuries? I mean, who knows how that will play out as the season goes on. Might be thinking of using A. Reyes as the next back up.
Somehow or other, I just can’t see that 344 average translating to the ML. Not from what I saw last year. I guess there is always room for improvement though….

Luis Castillo once had a thirty-something game hitting streak. Stranger things have happened.

think that has to do w/ Cora playing a game at 2B. He’s also supposed to play one at SS and at DH.

Must be hard to play in triple A, especially if you’ve been up in the big leagues before. I think there are abut 25 people in the stands at this Bison game…

It doesn’t warm up in Buffalo until mid-September.

hahaha – looks like a nice day. The 2 dozen people watching the game are in shirt sleeves, some in shorts.
