Cody Ross shouldn’t have been a hero the last time out if Jerry would have been smart enough to walk him with runners on second and third (first base open), one out and Alfredo Amezaga on deck.
Anyway, I’d prefer if Ross got a Golden Shower over a sombrero.

Ross needs a Parnell fastball in the teeth.
Aside from that, I hear you. However, Amezaga would have beaten us too. Those two guys kill us. All that being said, I’d take Ross on my team.

Amezaga might have killed them… but at least the possibility of a double play would have been presented. Which is besides the point that Cody Ross has legitimate pop and Amezaga has Rey Ordonez pop.
It is one of Jerry’s more inexcusable moves that hasn’t received any press.

i agree, you walk cody ross 10 times out of 10 in that spot. Cody ross is one of those guys that makes me shudder when he comes to bat. he is always looking to kill us. not the phillies. not the braves. jus tloooking to kill the mets.
