Boy it feels like forever that ive done one of these loll
First up Tim Redding. Now Tim didnt earn a win tonight but talk about a guy that needed a good outing. After a solid six innings in his first start, Redding now has allowed 13 earned runs in his two subsequent starts, encompassing 8 2/3 innings! Tim tonight went 6 innings, allowing only 1 ER and 6 hits. With all the news this team has had the past few days, it was nice for timmy to get the job done tonight. Good job tim on #1
Second up David Wright. David was a difficult one as he made a few mental errors this game but more importantly, David went 4/5 and drove in the game winning runs. David is hitting .326 on the year and .348 with RISP. Without Shef starting tonight, David moved into the cleanup role tonight. It seems throughout the game, David was trying too hard to make something happen. He did not really give Daniel Murphy and opportunity to drive him home. That will be something for David to work on as they are going to have to lean on everyone to get through this. Great Job for playing the hero tonight.
Last up is probably the Mets best signing in the off season, Fransisco Rodriguez. Krod has been nothing short of money this season and he did not disappoint tonight. With all that is going on in the media with the Mets, they have no room for error. How nice has it been to know that if the Mets are able to take a lead, they have Frankie there to nail it down. He is a perfect 15/15 with a .73 ERA!!! I dont know if the Angels are missing him but man, Omar did good picking this guy up. Krod gets the MUA award for no drama as he went through the lineup 1-2-3, getting the last out on a perfect change up on the outside corner to strike out Nick Johnson…filthy. I guess its a good omen to have Krod wearing the number 75 while Johan Santana wears 57(shouts to khmustache for noticing this ;p). Stokes, Parnell and Green also get MUA’s tonight for holding that 1 run lead as im sure everyone can agree that the bullpen last year would not have been able to hold that. Well done guys.
The Mets needed one in the worst way. Good win tonight, rinse and repeat tomorrow guys. LGM.

which could easily have cost us the gm..This after calling
out his teammates a day before. C’mon Carlos! THAT was
a little too ARodish!

To borrow a phrase from Dennis Green, Tim Redding “is what we thought he is.” He’s a back end of the rotation, mediocre starting pitcher. He doesn’t stink, he isn’t great. He’s somewhere in between. Which is why IMO what Mike Pelfrey and John Maine do is much more important than what Redding does. We know who Santana, Redding and Livan are. Mike and John, show us who you are.
