   I don’t know if anybody reported this but:

   From the Boston Globe (take it for what it’s worth):

   “Pedro Martinez, RHP, free agent: He is throwing well in workouts in the Dominican – clocked at 94 miles per hour one day, according to a Martinez staffer – and the Cubs and Rays have shown the most interest. He seems more suited for the Cubs unless the Rays, who have a pretty full rotation, use him as a closer.”

   Great stuff. The fans are truly jumping – I heard a rumor that Mattsblog posted the Wild Card standings along with the NLE standings in his sidebar. Not that I visit that site anymore.
