These 2 were possibly 2 of the the imfamous trades in Mets history because a egomaniacal M Donald Grant was trying to dump salary at all costs and him and our Franchise weren’t on speaking terms.Kingman said he wanted out if he wasn’t going to have his contract demands met either and so both were traded just before the deadline.

Damn, after the horror of this weekend, I forgot it was Seaver/Kingman AND Keith trade anniversary day–thanks for the reminder!

I forgot how much earlier the trade deadline was in the old days. Not sure which I prefer, but 6/15 would certainly come in handy this year, if you want Omar to be making moves!
