Must be quite a shock to go from college ball to playing everyday for a professional team.

I’m guessing that if you played at one of the big baseball factory schools, it might be more relaxing!

That and switching from aluminum to wooden bats.

Scott Moviel had another good start (6 shutout innings) for the GCL and should be back up with St. Lucie soon.

Dylan Owen was Baseball America’s prospect pitcher of the day yesterday with a 7 inning shutout at AA. He’s had a rough rough year after looking good in Brooklyn last year.

For the most part, Mets prospects other than Davis, Thole, Mejia and Holt are underperforming. Wilmer Flores has started to come around (remember he is a 17 year old in Low A) and Reese Havens has started to show some signs. Brant Rustich might be this year’s fast riser, really progressing well pitching 2-3 innings in relief.

Not bad for a guy with a hockey name.
