It’s a norm now that Wright strikes out more than twice a game. I mean TWICE by RODRIGO LOPEZ!!@#@

the only good thing was I am visiting up on the island, so I got to see SNY on big screen plasma. Too bad it had to be this ugly.
this game exposed all of the warts. Shaking SP (Livan was barely at bp level), and playing guys out of position.
By my count, they had 2 guys actually playing “their” position. Wright and Schnieder. Other than that, a 1B in LF, 3Bs at 2B and 1B, a 2B at SS, a RF in CF, and a DH in RF.
ANd you wonder why they look sloppy in the field. Forrgetting to cover bases? LL stuff.
I still like Evans though. I’m fine with him at 1B on a regular basis.
Man, they need some regulars to come back. And a huge game today, lets see if Neive can pull a lopez.

Multiple guys playing out of position….
I was on Amazin Avenue last night trying to make this exact point. How this greatly affects playing as well as until some better hitters make their way back to the line up, I see DWright continuing to struggle with no protection and the weight of the team on his shoulders. However, the point was wasted on some of those fans. And I use that term lightly b/c if you are a fan of baseball, how can you not get this?

Hundreds of thousands of fans of baseball don’t have a feel for subtlety or nuance or shades of gray. All they know is David Wright is not hitting enough home runs and is striking out too much, he’s making millions of dollars playing a game, and those are the only things they concern themselves with. If only instead of spending 75 minutes on hold to spend 1 minute saying nasty uninformed things about the team or individuals on the radio, they instead spent those minutes learning more about the sport they allegedly love…but hey it’s a free country!

In a nut shell what we have is a tiple a team out there and not because of our 6 players that are straight from triple a but our bench with the exeption of reed and cora are tiple a regualars our prospects that are playing should still be down in triple a but our great orginization didn’t have enough forsight to bring in or keep enough triple a players so what we are stuck with is triple a newbys in the majors.our propects that are playing minus evans are not making any impression on other teams. Just look at mayberry jr on the phils that’s a real prospect and he’s learning his trade where he belongs compare him to murphy or martinez and he looks like an all star. This makes omar look like a fool when your bringing up double a guys because they are all you have.
Imagine that the mets with all tis salary and we couldn’t bring in enough 4 a palers in case of emergency.
