Frenchy Revolution
The Frenchy Revolution was a period of roster upheaval in the history of the New York Mets, during which the right fielder, previously a left handed hitter with injury issues and a platoon player’s resume, underwent radical change to become a right handed hitter with a powerful arm and a full time player’s resume.

Frenchy of Grease
The Reign of Terror of the Frenchy Revolution began early, in the 1st inning. With 1 out and the bases loaded, Jeff “Frenchy” Francoeur blooped a single over Cincinnati Reds 1st baseman Joey Votto giving the Mets a 2-0 lead. Omir Santos RBI single made it 3-0 Mets after 1 frame. In the 2nd inning Luis Castillo singled in Angel Pagan, who had tripled, to extend the lead to 4-0.

Frenchy Fuqua of the Pittsburgh Steelers
Johan Santana (10-7) offered his support to the Frenchy Revolution by throwing 7 shutout innings, striking out 5 Reds. Pedro Feliciano and Francisco Rodriguez joined the fight by each throwing a scoreless inning of their own. Santos had 3 hits, and Pagan had 2 hits and 2 stolen bases.

Frenchy Morgan of I Love Money 2
The casualty of the Frenchy Revolution was Jay Bruce, who fractured his wrist attempting to catch David Wright’s 1st inning single. Doctors say he will be able to avoid the guillotine. The Frenchy Revolution swept the Mets to victory 4-0 over the Reds.

No shutout! Runs in the 1st inning! A lead Johan and the BP calvary did not give up! A Win, a WIN!! Met baseball like it ought to be, like it should have been, hopefully like it will be again soon….
So I’ve seen various clips/interviews with Frenchy for the past 12 hours or so. Why is that kid always smiling? Is he really that relieved he’s out of Atlanta? To quote: ‘I’m just happy to be somewhere where the GM really wanted me’.
I’m sure Ryan has the same sentiment about his former manager….
Here’s hoping Big Pelf sends us to the ASB with a win tomorrow.

I notice that he smiles a lot but right now most fans are not smiling with these team we are 6.5 games out and the Phillies remembered how to win so we have a long way to go

Recall when Bobby Bonilla said they couldn’t wipe the smile off of his face. Well they did!

Sad but true, unfortunately. I felt really good about tonight until I saw the Phillies scored five in the bottom of the ninth. That team won’t be caught. I hate it, but you just know they’re going to add pitching and I don’t think anyone in the division is going to compete with them.

Fame is fleeting. And so is a run as th ebig cheese in baseball.
Heck, after 2006, The Mets looked like they would own the division for years, and the phils would just continue to be, well, the Phils.
So still no guarantee for this year, and damn near anything can happen next year.
Injuries if nothing else have a way of catching up with a team.

But if the formula is right it can be done. The Braves post season run and the Yankees post season run were considerable in length and the Yankees are set to pick it up once more this year.

There is nothin’ like a win,
Nothin’ in the world,
There is nothin’ you can spin
That is anythin’ like a win!
I’m happy for Frenchy that he got off to a good start although I’ve known people that can fart farther than each of his hits. But it looks like line drives in the box score and it helped the Mets win. It doesn’t have to be pretty but just effective.
