The Mets finally woke up and in a rare feat scored 5 runs to beat the Braves 5-1

domination

In a show of domination, Johan Santana threw seven scoreless innings to take some pressure off New York’s struggling offense and the Mets beat the Atlanta Braves 5-1 on Saturday.

The Mets did their damage behind a very good game from their angel. Angel Pagan had a 3/4 night and was involved in a very uncharacteristic play by Manuel.

Manuel pulled one out from the ole playbook and called for a suicide squeeze play in the top of the 9th. Pagan scored off Luis Castillos sacrifice bunt. It’s only the fourth time in the last 23 games that the Mets have scored more than four runs

shot-in-the-arm

This game was a much needed shot in the arm as the Mets try to salvage whats left of the season
