Appalachian League
- The Kingsport Mets beat the Greeneville Astros 4-1 Monday. 4 players drafted in June took part. P Zachary Von Tersch picked up his 1st hold of the season with 2 scoreless innings. LF Ronald Harris hit an 8th inning sacrifice fly for his 11th RBI of the season but finished the game 0 for 3. RF Darrell Ceciliani had an 8th inning single and scored on Harris’ sacrifice fly. He wound up 1 for 4. C John Freeman had a 7th inning sacrifice fly for his 7th RBI on the season and had a 9th inning single to go 1 for 3 in the game. For more see the box score and recap.

- The Vermont Lake Monsters beat the Brooklyn Cyclones 8-2 Monday. 3 members of the 2009 draft class played for Brooklyn. SS Robbie Shields went 0 for 4 with a walk. 1B Sam Honeck had a 2 out single in the 9th inning to finish 1 for 5. LF Nick Santomauro had a 4th inning triple but was thrown out stealing home. He also singled in the 7th and 8th innings to finish 3 for 4. See the box score and recap for more.

- The Savannah Sand Gnats beat the Hickory Crawdads 8-0 Monday. 2009 draftee LF Joseph August batted 9th and went 0 for 4 to lower his season batting average to .097. For more see the box score and recap.
