      Lugo wouldn’t have been dead weight. Argenis Reyes, Angel Berroa are dead-weight players. Taking Lugo on with the Red Sox paying his ridiculous salary would be similar to bringing Sheffield in. The dude’s not great but he’s got some speed and a little pop and actually has a bit of a clue how to hit.

   The cards actually are taking on the salary? Or did the SOx pick up most of it?

   Schris DUncan isn’t great, but at least he is a live, functioning ML player.

   Reports tonight are Reyes might be ready by end of July, Maine first week of August and Beltran probably will not be back this year.

   This was not a fun season for NY Met fans….

      It’s strange, Beltran’s injury seemed the least serious of everybody, yet he’s the one that will be out the rest of the year. Football season can’t come fast enough….
