First off Happy Birthday greetings go out to our former closer who is currently rehabbing in Port St Lucie – Billy ” Power Spray ” Wagner (1971) – get well soon buddy we might need you ( hey I can dream!!)
next up is fireballer Guillermo ” STEROID” Mota (1973)
New York Mets traded Terrence ” Shorty ” Long and Leoner Vasquez to the Oakland Athletics for Kenny “The Gambler ” Rogers on July 25, 1999. – who could remember the infamous game ending walk in game 7 of the ’99 NLCS!!
And last night Mo Vaughn was Rushed to Houston General Hospital after almost choking on a chicken wing . Luckily Mo’s esophageal muscles are so stong he snapped the chicken bone in half and was released a short time later.
So the answer to the quiz you ask ?? THE 4 MAJOR GUYS IN THIS COLUMN ALL CHOKED DURING IMPORTANT POST GAMES FOR US !!! – Well except for Mo we didn’t even sniff the post season with him

I was at game 2 of the ’06 NLCS where Wagner blew the save. The issue was he should of never been brought out. He was worn out from game 1 and the NLDS, and the blame should fall on Willie. He never threw the ball higher than 96 mph. My whole section realized what was going to happen right off the bat.
As for Rogers him and Looper are probably my most despised Mets with Bonilla at a close third. Anything but a walk but that’s just what he did. And Wasn’t that in game 6?
