What a bummer day. The team I hate worse than anything acquires an ace, we declare that we want a LOOGY, and the game is rained out.

These really are tough days to be a
Mets fan!Our top rival gets another
Ace,in his prime.A player who our now proven-below average GM once
gave away in a horrible trade.Who
was acquired by a new/young GM,
already better than ours AND trades
4 of their best prospects BUT not
their 4 best ones. All of whom were
drafted AFTER our GM became GM.
This while a bunch of others are
being moved by sellers for what in
    most cases appear pretty cheaply.
Just about ANY of the players moved lately would help us stay atleast on
the fringe of the WildCard race.
This all on the heals of the amazing
off the field troubles which both our
Owners and their boy Omar seemed for
a long time to be Ok with before it
    finally exploded, leaving a sloppy
    mess all around!
The good news is ofcourse Don Omar
is looking around for a 2nd Lefty
in the Pen! Obviously, none of us thought about that…all winter…
    and spring…on two different blogs..
Hey, I read where Ron Villone is
being shopped and only for a middling
prospect! Oh!, Wait!, Didnt we have
    him alreadt too???
Yeah!, Its heady times being a Mets
    fan right now.
I’m sure Omar has a brilliant plan
just ready to break out real soon!?

Yeah, looking for a second lefty in the pen makes no sense. No sense whatsover, unless that lefty comes with another player in a packaged deal. On the needs list of this team, a second lefty would be pretty low in my book. Just call up Adam Bostick and see if he can do the job. He’s been pitching well at AAA. Speaking of pitching well at AAA, Nelson Figueroa ought to take Tim Redding’s spot anytime soon. He’s dominating and while I know he’s just a journeyman and won’t be great, he’d surely pitch better than the 7-plus ERA that Redding has posted. Another genius signing by Omoron.
