This Day In Mets Infamy With Rusty 08-14-09

Good Morning my fellow Mets fans. I’ll tell you one thing, it was refreshing not to see a mets game yesterday ( hate saying that) but I spent some time with Mrs, Rusty Jr. ( she does exist !!) and catching with whats on The D.V.R . Anyway , it’s time for yet another thrilling excursion into the factoid hell known as ” This Day In Mets Infamy With Rusty”.

First off celebrating a birthday today is one time pitching prospect ( drafted in 1997) and lasted with the team for only a September call up in 2000 – Eric Cammack (1975).

Also onother year older  is utility outfielder for the ’02 team – McKay Christensen (1975)

on this date in 1992 the Mets signed free agent relief pitcher Barry Jones.

And lastly Mo Vaughns favorite comic strip was ( AND ALWAYS WILL BE) Bloom County

I hate to admit it too, but it was nice having an ‘off day’. Never thought I’d say that this time of year. We were suppose to be in the thick of it agonizing over ever game….

      Everyday’s an off-day at this
      point! Season’s over and has
been for a couple months now.
      Again,if the Wilpon’s priority
      was winning a championship,
      they’d have cleaned house a
few weeks ago so as to prepare
      for next season.
      Like I always say though,our
      ownership are “happy little-
      -second place finishers”….
Although they’ll have to accept 4th place this season.

      Where are you Mr.Wilpon????
