Since rejoining the rotation on Aug. 8, West has made three starts, and his longest outing of them has been six innings. The 23-year-old rookie comes off a loss at Houston. In four innings, he allowed four runs, with three earned. He threw 62 pitches, struck out two and didn’t issue a walk. This will be his 14th big league start of the season, to go along with 11 starts and 12 games at Double-A Jacksonville. On May 29, West faced the Mets at New York, and he wasn’t involved in the decision. He gave up one run in seven innings.
