Pitching...

Pitching...Eeny

Nelson Figueroa went 5 innings of 2 run ball. Sean Green and Krod combined for 3 innings of scoreless relief

Defense...Meeny

Defense...Meeny

After Hanley Ramirez was hit by a pitch in the bottom of the inning, a fielding error by first baseman Daniel Murphy allowed John Baker to reach safely and Ramirez went to third on Murphy’s throwing error. Ramirez would score on a fielder’s choice by Dan Uggla to tie the game.

Umpire bad call of the night...

Mets injured player of the night...Miny

Mets LF Gary Sheffield left the game in the seventh with a cramp in his lower back, the team said. Sheffield walked and called time out while at first base between pitches before he was replaced

Offense...Moe!

Offense...Moe!

Francoeur lined a double to right field in the fourth that Jeremy Hermida misjudged. Hermida started running in and then quickly backpedaled, failing to even get a glove on a ball that should have been caught. Fernando Tatis followed with a single that scored Francoeur to give New York a 1-0 lead…thats it.

Moe looks familiar it wouldn’t happen to be “MLB Baby 2009″?

Side note…I know this is a mute point this year but…glad Omar went with Murphy and Livan instead of Abreu and Marquis. 0-2 on those 2 decisions!!

Abreu is only on pace for yet another 100 rbi year and Marquis is having a very nice year.

Actually forgive me…Omar is a genius…he knew this would be a year lost to injuries so why spend even 1 dollar move than you have to lol

So in conclusion the only off season decision or move that worked for Omar in 09 would be KRod…Perez,Putz,Murphy,Livan, etc

I think it is safe to say this is historically one of the worst seasons in Mets history and let’s leave it at that. You don’t wanna get into the what would Abreu have done in a Met uniform debate, not now do you? We have all winter for that.
Marquis may just have shyt the bed in Citi Fields also it was just that bad of a year.
Heck our biggest bat on Aug 25th is Luis Castillo
What we need is constructive ideas on how to dig out of this hole so 2010 has a glimmer of hope.

Um…Ok…and you have to study the past to make good decisions in the future. Im not trying to debate anyone, just stating facts, the years they are having. Its just interesting because there is an article on SI about Abreu. Its really that simple…take it easy we all know its been a bad year to say the least

I always find it interesting when a reply tells someone to take it easy when all they are asking is for constructive ideas on how to deal with the future.

I mean your having a conversation with yourself before I commented and unless I am mistaken every comment was just one sarcastic jab after another at the dead horse that Minaya is.

Study at the past to make good decisions? Is that what you was doing? I am sorry then and by all means study on…

Wow..very angry tonight. This is a place to post your thoughts. My friend went to Coors and watched Marquis pitch and said he looked good. Abreu was a cover story on SI. Hence why I posted what I did…just thoughts my man…just thoughts.

I see, I must of had your comments all wrong sorry JoeR.

They are just thoughts indeed and feel free to post all you want.

I was trying to appeal to the part of you that can rise above the digs (deservedly so) at Minaya and look to offer something of a more constructive nature.

I see now I should of never wasted my time.

Go on JoeR post to your hearts content. I won’t make the same mistake twice.

Well I said a mute point and side note to carefully not offend anyone and make it clear it was just a thought.

the omar comment i ended with lol…hence a joke. And if you knew my thoughts i often defend omar and am in favor of giving him another year.

but i will stop trying to defend myself since your sarcasm wont stop. have a wonderful nifgt.

The Mets are 4 for 51 with two outs and the bases loaded on the year.
