Also celebrating another year on this great grey Earth is the Mets original third string cather Clarence “Choo Choo” Coleman (1937) Ralph Kiner had a great story about “Choo Choo” . He was once a guest on Kiner’s Korner ( I miss it!) and Ralph found “Choo Choo” to be a hard interview so he figured he would ask him about his wife. So Ralph asks Choo Choo what his wife’s name is – Ralph was expecting to hear a name like Joy Or Mary , but “Choo Choo” only says ” Mrs. Coleman” – needless to say “Choo Choo” was never a guest on the program ever again !

And just a question did Omar’s conference call seem extremely brief? and his answer on Johan Santana’s condition seemed inadequate ate best – slipshod at worst ! And I hope we get more than a bag of balls for Billy Wagner ( I’ll miss his blunt-fully correct observations) Because If the Boston Red Sox get 2 first round picks for him that become serviceable major league rs for him ‘ll scream !!
