Soriano Strokes Stokes For Piniella’s Birthday

In case you missed it we had a game today.
Lou Piniella who turned 66 got his birthday present when Alfonso Soriano stroked an 0-2 Brian Stokes pitch to Left Center-field and gave the Cubs a 5-2 lead that they held on to get their 64th win of the season.

    No, I didn’t miss it. I’ll likely not miss any NY Met games, no matter how horrible this season has been, no matter that the season was long over months ago…

    As I said on a previous thread, I’m sure Pat Misch wanted to slap Brian Stokes upside the head….
    Nice effort by Pat though. And hard to get on Brian who has been so good most of the season. Just another example of how bad this season has been.

      That type of stuff has been going on for 2.5 years now. We can’t even when things go right, get out of our own way.
