Nice game. Good for Figgy. If you heard his post game interview, he has every intention of bringing the best he can to the remaining starts he’s got. As he said, he’s pitching for a job somewhere next year. Has no intention of hanging up his cleats yet.
I’ll have to go back and take a look but….I know Figgy has pitched all over hell and back, in just about every league there is. I’m very curious – has he ever been injured or on the DL? I never hear any mention of that. If no, I’d like to know what his secret is to being 35 and accomplishing that.

Well, for one thing, not having a large guaranteed (or even a small guaranteed!) contract tends to keep you out on the field.
