Via Adam Rubin and his Surfing The Mets blog, the Mets are expected to call up Tobi Stoner, the 24 year old right-handed starter. Stoner most recently pitched in AAA for the Buffalo Bisons, going 7-7 with a 3.96 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP in 16 starts.
Tobi was the Mets’ 16th round draft pick (484th overall) in the 2006 amateur draft and has risen through the minors at around an A level per year since.
Barring (multiple?) injuries to the starting rotation, Stoner will likely only be used as a spot-reliever.
I accidentally typed “Tobi Stoner to Joint the Mets” as the title the first time through…true story.

“Right” bolded on purpose…just so the competitors get it correct next time (with all due respect MC).

Did Rusty order his Jerseyt yet (I think he was the one that was really looking forward to Toby making the club!
Does make me wonder what is going on with Bostick though. He had a very good year overall. Unless he isn’t on the 40 man and doesn’t have to be for next year? I don’t think that is the case though.
must be one of those guys that the FO just doesn’t like?

He’s not on the 40 man but there are plenty of players who could be moved to the 60 day to make room for him.

Stick that was me.
I just started working again so I need a few paychecks for other things but I do hope to get my “Stoner” jersey by the end of the year. No longer will I have to wear my old Jeff Smoker Michigan State jersey.
My mom will be so proud.
