” When the musics over turn out the lights”

Sorry guys that I didn’t publish anything yesterday but family matters came up. One thought about being eliminated on Sunday night – I guess its quite fitting that Pedro Martinez played Dr. Jack Kevorkian to our dying team and essentially pulled the plug on our season. Anyway it is time for the infamy !
First off Happy Birthday to utility infielder from the mid ’60′s- Charley Smith (1937)
One of the the many blights of our late ’70′s pitching rotation, Brooklyn’s own , John Pacella (1956)
A Japanesse pitcher I never heard of Satoru Komiyama is 44 (1965)
Middle reliever from the ’90′s- Doug Simons is 43 (1966)
And utility infielder Jason Hardtke is 38 (1971)
New York Mets traded Shane Young and Jeff Richardson to the California Angels for John ” Candy Man” Candelaria on September 15, 1987. Candeleria was brought in as extra insurance for the ’97 stretch run but he was the shell of the pitcher he used to be after the death of his son.
Well we might be eliminated but LET’S GO METS !!
