- Mets interested in bringing in Pat Listach in a coaching role, not sure if it’s at the MLB or minor league level
- Internal discussion regarding bringing in Joey Cora either as a coach or as the manager of the Buffalo team with Obie moving to AA. The problem is the Mets are concerned (and rightfully so) that Manuel will be looking over his shoulder at all times knowing Cora is in the organization.
Update: Confirmed the Mets interest in Cora from a reliable source. He says he doesn’t see Cora leaving the White Sox without an MLB managerial job but “you never know”. When asked about Jerry’s reaction if they brought on Cora “The Mets are past caring about feelings”

You guys know my man crush on Joey Cora but there is no way in hell he is leaving his current job to come here to be AAA manager. I hope he does come on to the staff and brings Howard Baines with him. As I said in my post about him months ago, if he does come in I will dance naked in the streets.

what is he, the bench coach?
hard to see them giving him that role on the Mets, with Jerry still in charge. Maybe them can make Cora the manager, and Jerry bench coach to save some money?
Or just skip the jerry on the bench part.

Well there is a possibility that he may come here to be a bench coach if he was well paid and told he was next in line when Jerry is fired 50 games in next year.
I wonder if he would be more likely with having Alex on the bench?
One other fact, he just signed an extension.
