For those who still watch Baseball Tonight on ESPN, According to several tweets and here…Peter Gammons is out after the winter meetings.
-I don’t watch ESPN anymore during the baseball season, thanks in large part to MLB Network (Its way better) but I can say the only guy that I wouldn’t mind listening too was Peter.

Good.
Listening to him romanticize everything is growing tiresome. Not to mention that I don’t need to watch or read national media to learn about the Red Sox almost exclusively.

With the advent of the MLB network I stopped watching Baseball Tonight entirely, so to me he’s already been gone for a year.
I loved reading his Sunday columns in the Globe back in the day, he is recognized as having invented that sort of thing. Kudos to him, may he be happy at whatever he’s going to do.

Gammons is the class that all other BB writers strive to be. Unfortunately he really hasn’t been the same since his aneurysm from a couple years ago. He has done enough and I hope he will be comfortable being away from the game.
