Scrooged: Minaya To Work Xmas Day

Looks like with so little done so far this off season and the twice extended deadline to renew Season Tickets fast approaching.  Minaya was quoted by KEN DAVIDOFF of NEWSDAY to say “I’ll be working on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day” at moving forward on Mets off season moves.

Sounds like a bad rendition of Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol”

If Omar Minaya is Bob Cratchit and Jeff Wilpon is Ebenezer Scrooge, is Fred Wilpon then Jacob Marley and are the Mets Fans the “Poor and destitute, who suffer greatly at the present time”?

For if this is the case I fear they are succeeding at trying to “decrease the surplus population”.

I just thought of this but is Mr. Met Tiny Tim?

No, I think any number of our walking wounded from last year could fill the role of Tiny Tim.

That’s all well and good, but the real question is whether anyone else will be working on Christmas day? You can’t make deals with yourself.
