Well the past twenty-four hours has been pure hell for me !! First off was the Jets loss last night. The Jets as we all know came out like a house on fire , unfortunately Peyton Manning and the Colts figured out how to neutralize both our offence and our defense in the second half. Then this Morning while getting into my car to get to the second leg of my job , my i phone fell into a puddle of water , rendering it as effective as Omar’s oratory skills !!! Compound that with the fact I have to listen to “Fat Man” Francesa and all of his smugness in regards to last nights Jets loss and the report from S.I’s John Heyman stating that the Mets aren’t among the favorites in retaining Ben Sheets and it all adds up to me having a pretty crappy day !! Well I will always have my Rangers – D’OH !!!

And with that said … HERE COMES THE INFAMY !!!
Happy Birthday wishes go out to Art Howe’s favorite pitching coach , Vern Ruhle (1951) . Too bad he sucked with us.
New York Mets traded outfielder Damon Buford to the Texas Rangers for minor league outfielder Terrell Lowery on January 25, 1996.
New York Mets sold Angel Pagan to the Chicago Cubs on January 25, 2006. Angel is currently projected as being our Opening Day starting center fielder – oh joy !
New York Mets signed free agent Aaron Sele of the Los Angeles Dodgers on January 25, 2007. Sele was used as a long man/ spot starter fir the ’07 team. As we all know he did very little to ingratiate himself with the fans , down right sucking in his lone season with the Mets.
And while you are throwing back shots of Wild Turkey tonight , just remember that there are only 70 days until the Mets open the 2010 season against the Florida Marlins, at Citi Field.

Dude you are just asking for punishment if you turn on the radio today to Francesa. Barring any breaking news I’d steer clear till Wednesday.

I was actually rooting for the Jets, Rusty…with the Dolphins gone, I sort of become a closet Jet fan.
Sorry about that one, but still, what a great season.
I was in Indianapolis for a convention and was staying at the Westin, and the Jets were arriving at our hotel when we were leaving—you would have been very proud at the amazing number of Jet fans in town for the game–the Westin was full of them, and when we went to the airport Sat afternoon, everyone coming in was wearing Jets stuff!!
I guess it is all pitchers and catchers now.

Well, thankfully I don’t listen to fatty mcdiet coke. But, IMHO, any team that gets to the conference championship game, against a team that if they had not decided to rest starters would have been undefeated, and you take a lead into the locker room at halftime, on the road, had a pretty damned good run.
Guaranteed that every other team in the AFC (other than the Colts, of course!) would have been happy with such a terrible season!

Of course the irony is that if that team hadn’t decided to rest it’s starters to pursue going undefeated the Jets wouldn’t have made the playoffs in the first place.
Sorry, was channeling my inner Mike Francesa, which is so big it’s really an outer Mike Francesa.

Yea that sucks. I also have an Iphone and I don’t see much difference in a fully operational or water logged version. AT&T is the worst and the rumor is Verizon big announcement in 2 weeks is an Iphone contract starting in July. That would make me so happy, I love that damn phone and the only place it works good for me is in Canada under Rogers communications.

If you have access to Sirius the Mad Dog is much better to listen too. Especially that you doesn’t treat each of his callers like trash. I have no idea why people still call into the WFAN.
