Will The Mets Sign Noah Before The Flood?

According to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com, Left handed pitcher Noah Lowry has scheduled a throwing session this Tuesday in which the Mets along with 14 other teams are expected to attend. Lowery, 29, is seeking a one-year contract after being out of baseball since ’07. He has been battling thoracic outlet syndrome the last few years. His last truly effective season was 2005.
This might be the kind of pitcher Omar was alluding to yesterday when he stated that the Mets might sign a risky pitcher to a minor league contract to compete for the fifth spot in the rotation.

if it is a minor league deal, sign him up. Can’t hurt to stockpile more depth down there.

agreed, and if he proves he can pitch like he did in ’05 and ’06 we might have another jon lieber in the rough

Wow and I thought Sheets hadn’t pitched in a long time. This guy might’ve forgotten how to find the mound.

I promise not to stick my finger in his thoracic outlet.

Out of respect for MF4D and Metsgirl, I will refrain from writing any of the dozens of vile comebacks I am thinking of….

          hahahaha – don’t mind me.

I had to look this guy Noah up b/c I had absolutely no idea who he was.
Minor league contract, invitee to ST – O.K., no problem with that. Especially considering I believe we’ve got a lack of depth with SP.

Hey, we got lucky with Tatis in ’08….
