Adam Rubin has done a great job sending us pictures from Spring Training: Monday is work day »
Seeing pictures like these make me forget all the negative images the media has tried to place in my mind and I begin to have more and more hope for the 2010 season. Not because of what they have done or have not done but because it’s baseball dammit and these are the Mets.

I saw someone add an image in a comment and I was trying to see how to do it when I saw you added the link.

That’s great! I am sure Koufax is there to lend the broke Coupons money so they can afford a snack.

Nahhh…I don’t think so!…Since The Great Koufax ACTUALLY lost a sh*t ton of money in the Madoff scandal..
Unlike Old Freddy, who just allowed everyone in, not just
the local BUT national media to believe he’d taken a
huge hit from Madoff in an obvious attempt to excuse
NOT spending add’l funds last year, thus providing cover
with the injuries as to why ’09 was such a failure…..
Except at the box office, that is…..And that is the
most important thing to The Wilpons afterall………
Right???????

I loved how the first comment beneath Rubin’s piece was essentially “Yeah Koufax worked with Shawn Estes and we all know how that turned out.”
My understanding is that Koufax has visited ST virtually every year the Wilpons have owned the team so the idea that one can equate Estes to the effect Koufax has is one of the more absurd things I’ve ever read, and I read a lot of absurd things.

Too bad Sandy doesn’t want to get into uniform!…..
He might be an improvement over anyone else competing
for the #5 Spot in the rotation….Even at 74 years old.
