Not much more you can say about Johan The Competitor that already hasn’t been said.
Hasn’t changed his mind about coming to NY and helping them win a championship.

    Just Can’t Wait.

Posted this on Rusty’s last thread:

And this over on Bearleaguer in response to Santana declaring him the best pitcher in the NL east:

‘You know, as a diehard Phillies fan, I’m willing to give them Santana and his 143 career ERA+ over Halladay’s 133, even with Santana’s elbow issues. But that’s about it. The Mets will be a non-factor, and considering some of the nifty little moves Washington made, I wonder if the Nationals can finish higher in the standings’.

Hey Phills, we’ll show you ‘non-factor’, all right.

Just want to add…..Do they feel it? Will this fire them up? Do they want it as bad as we all do? Man, I sure do hope so.
This time of year for us baseball fans is a little like Xmas Eve for a child. The anticipation is at it’s highest with expectations of getting all that you want.
May we all get that most coveted gift this year.

LOL – I’d gladly pay to see the Mets win a WS again before I die…..

no kidding mf4d…. but, at this point i’d be stoked if they can finish ahead of the phils…. i’m really REALLY starting to dislike that team

I have to echo Grave here.
‘Starting to’ hit me back in Sep of 2007. Although it made my day when they got swept in round one by the Rockies.

Try living 20 minutes from CBP, and working in PA in a place where just about everyone is a phils/eagles fan.
