Mets Attempt To Void Marshall Claim

According to Brian Costa of the Star-Ledger the New York Mets have sought permission from the commissioner to void their waiver claim of former Oakland Athletics’ pitcher Jay Marshall due to a pre-existing shoulder injury.

    Hm.
    He was seriously supposed to compete for that second lefty spot. We have no outstanding LH pitching arms for the bullpen to aid Feliciano, because Takahashi is supposedly a Glavine Type.

    taka, marshall, misch, and at least one of the MiL guys (that sorta closer sidarmer dude from AA maybe) were supposed to be competing I think. And I imagine a few more options might pop up in ST.
