No that is not referring to the upcoming 2010 Mets season even though you can make an argument that it should be (not literally of course).
Dustin Pedroia on today’s episode of Baseball Tonight while discussing his fear of flying said that one of his great friends Alex Cora while with him in Boston took a page from a line in Rocky IV and said “If we die we die”. It worked at calming him down and he still remembers that till this day whenever he flies.

Cora’s got the right idea about things in general. I try and live by that mantra.
I’m a firm believer in fate. Doesn’t mean you have to throw yourself in front of a bus but…what’s gonna be, is gonna be.
That being said, I hope it’s my fate to be watching NY Met baseball well into Oct and right into the WS this year…..

Reading the comments from one Eephus over on fromwhaticangather.com makes me almost wish I had a login over there….
His over the top defense of MF this afternoon when interviewing the Mets is just..well, over the top.
I listened to most of those interviews. It’s clear to any Met fan MF is not that knowledgeable when it comes to the Mets. There was so much wrong with MF doing those Met interviews I don’t know where to start. I think another poster summed it up well:
Yes, Francessa is a NY radio talk show host. He talks about all NY sports. But when he is at Mets camp, he should talk mostly about the Mets.
When he visits the Skankees, let him talk about the Skankees. During March Madness, he should (and does) talk about college hoops. As we approach the NFL draft, he should talk about the Giants, Jets, and top picks.
Regardless of his ratings or his knowledge, he is in Mets camp … talk about the Mets.
I don’t want to hear him talk about deep fried twinkies … something he may know a lot about.
