TRDMB: Tale Of The Tape – Murphy/Davis

Here is another Tale Of The Tape and again, yes I understand Murphy will most likely be the opening day 1st baseman and yes Ike Davis has a slim to none shot of making the club. So the following is for entertainment purposes for the what if contingent out there.

wow – poor Murph. It’s not even close.

Since ST games are more like playing in the minors anyway (batting against would be minor leaguer pitchers instead of accomplished major leaguer pitchers half the time), I guess you could say Ike is way more comfortable in that venue.

Just grabbing at straws here for Murphy. We all know he’s not the power bat Davis projects to be but he’s not as bad as these stats would have us believe either. –Although there’s no denying fact at this point in ST…..

      MF4D, he has 17 AB….and Davis has 4 errors if I am not mistaken…..

Man Murph is playing himself out of the starting lineup. Has Jacobs had as many plate appearances?

    Hmmmmm, you forgot errors.

Might they have relevance amidst these HUGELY meaningful early March stats?
