Well, this first inning isn’t going well for Pelf.
Just pile it on. First Jose likely on DL, – how many shoes can drop?

3-0 Boston in the top of the 4th.
Pelf had a rough 1st inning and good 2nd and 3rd. He’s out of the game now and Stoner is pitching.

Looks like they’ll be stopping the game due to rain.

From yesterday’s Baseball America chat on ESPN.com:
Chris (Hoboken, NJ)
If Harper is there at 7 and the mets don’t take him we will burn Citi field to the ground!!!

But the Mets haven’t gone aggressively way over slot since Mike Pelfrey . . . in 2005. And that hasn’t worked out as hoped. I’d be surprised if the Mets popped Harper–Wilpons wouldn’t want to upset Selig.

That would happen. Unless he was falling for a real reason, not specific to money. Or at least, an issue relative to the amount he seems to require.
