Ollie looking good through 2, 1-2-3 innings so far…

    Fastball getting up at 92mph.

    1. Mr North Jersey

Yep saw one at 93 that got away from him for a ball but looking sharp so far hitters not getting around on a lot of his pitches fouling them off.

  2. Mr North Jersey

Walked a batter with 2 outs in the 3rd. There goes the perfect game.

      LOL.
Not bad through 3. Set down the first 8, walked the next two, got the third out.
      No hits, 2 walks.
What I liked after that 2nd walk was Barajas looking like he was telling him ‘hey, calm down, don’t start over throwing’. Kinda of like this year, they’re not gonna let him get out of control, if they can.

And Luis flashing a little glove too.

      This Scherzer is impressive.

More worried about the SPs, so I will take a pitchers duel right now!

    So, Ollie through 4 innings.
No hits, those 2 walks in the 3rd, fastball consistently over 90 and up to 92mph.
    Definite improvement.

Too bad this Scherzer is matching him and then some. That kid has some fastball.

Ollie pitching well should give the faithful a lift. Might take a little more to put a smile on the nabobs.

And this, most likely, is your opening day lineup. Just pull out GMjr., slide the next 2 guys up 1, and boom. And if you play Tejada, he hits 8th too most likely.

And Taka (we need a nickname ’cause I’ll never remember how to spell his name…)
keeping the combined no-no intact through 6 innings.

Maybe we’ll get some hits this inning, take the lead.

Have to say, Tigers have some nice young talent.

Evan though it was probably wind driven, nice to see another Wright HR.

And a 2R HR for Murph.

      1. metsfan4decades

And a 2R HR for GMJ.

That’s 3 HRs bottom of the 7th and still nobody out.

And Bay keeps it going with a HR.

          That’s 4 HRs in the 7th.

            the magic is back, baby!

wow… nice to see a 9 spot in the 7th and some nice pitchin!

It’s hard not to love Meija. That was the first chance I got to actually watch him pitch.

    1. Mr North Jersey

You think he throws hard I’m looking forward on seeing Familia throw.

DOes it make me a bad person that I am almost hoping for him to struggle a bit for a couple of outings, just so the FO wises up and sends him back to MiL camp to get ready to start in Binghamton?

      1. ceetar

It’s the the FO, it’s Manuel. I suspect he’ll go to Binghamton. And whether or not he’s up to starter strength is irrelevant since he’ll be on an inning limit anyway.
