I wasn’t aware he had been waived. I didn’t expect him to make the roster anyway since he’s out of options. I was hoping he wouldn’t stick by default with the Reyes situation and am happy the organization is choosing to look elsewhere for short term MIF solutions.

Didn’t have much use for him. boom boom. He was on 40man right? or no that’s why he was claimed? I forget the rules.

He was, and was the only backup MIF on the 40 man (other than Cora).

now they can put Adams on the 40 man if he wasn’t already.

Might have been a useful peice until Reyes gets back, but I doubt the season is gong to hinge on not having A Hern.

Based on my memory he was NOT a good SS.

Yes, he was, clears a space for Tejada, or others.

Ah, you beat me to it.

I think that would imply that he WAS on the 40 man and then assigned to AAA and because he has no options left was put on waivers and claimed. I think the Mets can recall him or request something in return?

Anyone who cares about this must really be an obsessive compulsive.

      Thanks, we all are. LOL.

That being said I don’t think you will find anyone on this site complaining about the loss of Ahern.

Yeah, apparently he’s no Ruben Gotay. :-)

Who’s that? Oh yeah it’s Jeff Keppinger’s long lost brother.

+1. I don’t think you would find anyone on any Mets site complaining about this loss.
