Hmmmm, maybe enough to wake up the FO and pony up a few extra dollars for Mr. Biemel?

Exactly what I was thinking. How about a game ball for Hisanori Takahashi, who continues to impress? Keeps putting up zeroes. F-Mart with another RBI hit. Homers by Bay and Francoeur, all good to see. Ollie was erratic but limited the damage. Nice game overall.

Yes, it was a nice win.
If the season started tomorrow, I’d make Taka the #5 to start, send Niese down for another month or so – make sure he’s where he should be after coming off that surgery last year.

Sports Night reports Pedro’s hit to the leg doesn’t appear to be serious right now.
Malusis and Macanamie (spelling?) facing off on Sports Night asked which player they thought was flying under the radar which could have positive results on the club this year.
Malusis: Pagan. Who knows when Beltran will return? Looking at his numbers last year, even with the mental mistakes….thinks he’s going to continue to hit in Beltran’s absence.
Macanamie: Castillo. Knows the fans want him run out of town. But says hit .300 last 10 out of 12 years, put up good numbers last year. Thinks this year he’ll hit .290/.300 again, steal bases, move runners over and will be a solid guy in the lineup. Great?….no, but solid….yes.

do met pitchers have targets on them, or just really lousy reflexes?
I can’t remember seeing guys get nailed at this rate.
