Why the heck would WFAN do an interview with the “other” Manuel?
I don’t see WIP in Philly ( a station that will make you actually appreciate Francesca) doing any interviews with Jerry.

Because a lot of the WFAN likes to translate their disappointment with the Mets into love and admiration for the other team. Although, March is an odd time for it.
I only caught some of it, mostly eh. Not really a lot to talk about. Manuel gave them “Danny Baez” as the guy going to come out and have a surprising good year.

I think it’s good for the “rivalry” but I should add I don’t know if their is any Philly reciprocity going on.
Seriously, somewhat in the mode of NL East Chatter, I would love it if more NL East teams’ players and managers were interviewed periodically by the NYC media.

Well as much as it hurts to say this, but their Manuel is better than our Manuel.

They are both pretty bad. The difference is, Charlie knows and admits that he is no great shakes, and he just tries to stay out of the way and let the players do their thing.
It is like with Torre for most years. How hard is it to write the same names in the lineup every day? It’s not like he has to do much actual managing. Just entertain the press, and keep the clubhouse on an even keel.
OK, you are right. Their manuel is better than ours.
Oh, if the Mets hadn’t gifted them the playoffs in 2007, he would have been axed. And as late as mid-2008, the fan base down here was screaming for his head (they really, truly hated “the bumpkin”). Without their miracle run to finish 2008 and make the playoffs, he was absolutely being run out of town.
Now they want him to go to the HOF.

LOL. Phillie fans are worse than us. I still can’t understand their hatred toward McNabb.

I have some thoughts on that but perhaps they’re better published at a blog on different, less sports-specific topics.

LOL – Boomer and Craig discussin this morning who has the worst/harder job the President or Jerry….
Craig says ‘let’s face it, the Prez is trying to fix the economy, Jerry is trying to win a championship and neither one have the power in their hand to do so. Both are trying to make it work with what they were given.’
Craig goes on to say Jerry has the harder job because he feels his task is more of an impossibility.
Both Craig and Boomer see the Mets finishing 3rd.
Can the season just start already?

MF, they have this thing on the radio called “music”. Give it a try sometime. I think you will be happier.

or even better, aux ports or bluetooth for your iPod (although my aux doesn’t seem to work with my iPod touch). hell, they’ve even got cheesy drive-in shows in the morning instead of Carton.

hahaha – I’m sure you’re right.
Just waiting to switch over to SNY for the game this afternoon.
Joe and Evan now. Joe is begging for Ike Davis to start at 1st and FMart starting at center. He’s on a rant but understandably he’s cranky ’cause he hasn’t had power in his home since Saturday and is camping out at a hotel – LOL.
