    That’s a vote of confidence – not !

Must be because perez was so good today.

And too bad they didn’t send Mejia to the minors with the other guys.

Speculation is that Maine might start

      1. stickguy

he does traditionally pitch much better against the marlins than Pelf does.

    O.K. I’m confused…..
This better be a strategy move and not some injury in the making we’re not hearing about it.

I am more confused that it is being announced today, before they have officially said who made the team!

Also some speculation elsewhere that this means a trade is about to be announced, but you would think that would come out before stuff about Pelf getting pushed back.

      1. metsfan4decades

It’s the Mets. Who knows what drives that train? LOL.

After listening to the Rubin 2 hours interview Mr. N. Jersey posted I’m even less confident on the FO ability to communicate anything with a plan in mind.
Rubin gave away just enough tidbits with the handling of Beltran and Reyes this winter to leave me scratching my head……

I was trying to give them a chance to finally see this through, but I have pretty much given up on this brain trust, including Manuel and Warthen.

Even though I am happy to see some prospects finally looking close (although there is still time to see them traded for crap), I think too much has gone wrong, and continues to malfunction, to keep them around.

Too bad that Jeffy is probably entrenched, since I think he is a big part of the problem, so unless they get a real BB guy in to be Sr. VP (making Jeffy a non factor), it may not mean much.

But, I would love to see a real good manager, and a Duncanish PC, get their hands on this talent.

And a Gm that isn’t dumb enough to ram Mejia into the pen.

    a little something for TRS.

Why does Mike & Matt keep defending Murphy? the guy is a bench player nothing more. I have never seen something like this he goes 2 for 2 and all of a sudden his 196 looks good. Luckily you guys have writing skills cause you have no baseball knowledge.

    They have writing skills?

      We gotta recruit him lol

I saw the same exact post and thought the same exact response. I’ve been permanently banned from that blog/propaganda site, so I couldn’t post. Funny though….

          Ceetar is our inside man

          1. stickguy

He is there, trying to put up the good fight, but he is starting to look like the last man standing. I try to chip in with moral support some times, but have lost the enthusiasm for fighting in the battles.

          2. asod75

I sometimes feel bad for ripping that site, because I used to enjoy it so much. But to call it a shell of its former self doesn’t even describe it accurately. Hence why we’re all here (and kickin’ arse daily!)

          3. rustyjr

Yes we were the cream of the crop but Matt didn’t like to have his gramatical errors and stupid mistakes pointed out

          4. asod75

The grammatical and spelling errors were bad enough, but the factual mistakes were worse. I think he messed up the “handedness” of a pitcher 60 percent of the time, at least. And it still happens to this day, even though he’s got the corporate sponsorship.

Big Pelf is our 2nd best starter, that is a fact

    1. rustyjr

      Welcome aboard

      1. resignreyes11

        thanks, glad to be

    2. metsfan4decades

Love your name. I’m all for resigning Reyes. It’s a no brainer.

    3. prismo

Why do you want Reyes to resign? Did he cheat on his wife or steal government money or something?

      (kidding, welcome aboard)

  6. gonzowill

Pelf, Maine, Perez, pick your poison. You mean to tell me there was not one NOT ONE starter on the market BESIDES lACKEY that were better than these three? A little insurance would have been nice. C’on! Today’s performance by Perez tells me it might be a long year. Murphy got hurt today as well, there’s a good excuse as any to bring up Davis.

  7. stickguy

so, from tidbits over at FWICG, someone is claiming that Noble has figgy as the #2, with Pelf out of the rotation? If that was true, either Omar has gone totally insane, Pelf is hurt, or the next bombshell is the big man got traded. And IMO that will be a huge mistake that will bite them in the keister.

unless they have gone completely off the reservation and are making Pelf the 8th inning guy!

    1. metsfan4decades

      Oh, for crying out loud.
Pelfrey as the 8th inning guy? That is the dumbest thing I’ve heard in a year, a year filled with some really dumb things when it comes to all things Mets.

Figgy replacing Mike in the rotation? What am I missing?

      Don’t tell TRS….

      1. stickguy

gee, didn’t you see the !? It was a joke (and notice I said they would have been completely insane).

        1. metsfan4decades

          Oops, my bad….

I keep trying to maintain a positive attitude towards MOP but the more I read the 3 names my sense of nausea increases daily. Hope in MOPE, E for Escobar that is, as if. When I read MOP I think of the Seinfield episode with the Bubble Boy, “No I’m sorry the answer was Moop’s, yes the Moop’s” “It was the Moor’s” Moor’s, Moop’s what’s the difference. MOP is close enough to Moop’s thereby the correlation in my “fragile little mind”. All I know is we need “Moor” pitching.

Dis is the kind of ‘chit that got me booted from our spawning ground, the primortial ooze that is Michael Barone’s website as I now choose to call it.

Lastly, is the soundtrack that play’s in Jerry’s head the classic “Ball of Confusion”? Just wondering, how many open questions with so few days left. Part of it is dealing with what you’ve got, but an equal part is trying to give guy’s assigned roles even if it is for the sake of appearing stable. At least there’s a plan and commitment to something going that route. None of that here in Jerry’s Fun House.

    1. stickguy

maybe throw us a bone, and find a fresh PC voice to try and get these guys straightened out?

      1. Hazmet

I’ve actually been thinking that too the past few days trying to think who that could be. Balancing that out against if this show flops out of the gate and Jerry gets the axe they won’t want to stick in a new PC in for a couple of months before a new Manager may want to bring someone with them.
Maybe they should just breath through their eyelids or something?
