Here are some Mets “M-Vids” I came across on Youtube to help get you amped up for the upcoming season.
Great Job again FSPLATA24 and ECEA030, I can’t wait to see what else you come up with.

More, more, I want to see more….
That did it. I pumped. I love baseball, I love this team, #5 and #7 and #57 and #75 and #15 and well, all of them.
‘We Weren’t Born to Follow’. Screw that predicted 4th place finish.

For optimism, listen to Rich Coutino’s interview with Pelfrey today. It’s just spring and nothing counts, but listening to it really drove it home how ridiculous it is to worry about Pelf’s home runs this spring. He’s pumped, excited, confident, and cut down on the distractions on the mound and focused on pitching. He’s developed more pitches that he’s comfortable throwing for strikes, and that’s what he’s been doing, throwing them for strikes. He said he threw exclusively split-finger fastballs one time through the rotation the other day.

Very cool. If Pelf’s got a plan and he’ll unleash it come his first start, than whatever he’s been doing in ST is just fine with me.

Over at NY Sports Dog Dave Singer writes that Ron Darling pointed out that when he developed his splitter it became hard to get his fingers together when he was not throwing his splitter. This impacted his pitches other than the splitter as they were no longer as effective as they had been. Darling mentioned that a similar thing could be happening to Pelfrey as he develops his splitter. In Pelfrey’s case it tends to straighten out his fastball. So if Darling is correct and Pelfrey does not overcome this then it could be a problem.

A number of years ago I lived in Horsham, Pennsylvania. I still have some friends there and of course they are rabid Phillies fans. For the past two seasons and now for a third just before opening day they have sent me a link to this song. I like the song and it’s all in good fun so I really don’t mind.

LOL. We just need to finish ahead of the Phils or baring that, get the WC and watch as they’re eliminated and we move on.
Then we can put an end to this ‘we’re a dynasty’ madness.
