Opening Day 2010 in Pictures

As many of you already know, I was out at Citi Field today for Opening Day. (Well really, where else would I be?)  I met so many bloggers and people that I’ve probably been watching games next to for years. One of which was TRDMB’s own Rustyjr!  I posted a more succinct review to Optimistic Mets Fan, So here’s my photo tribute to Citi Field today, and all the fun I had.  Full album on Picasa here.

Black Cats are special to the Mets.  So I take this as a great omen to the season.

I did. And they did.

Beer awaiting delivery.

Despite what’s just on the other side of the street, the stadium does look nice from this side.

Who wouldn’t want to buy a stuffed pretzel?

Great pictures man. Seems like you were scoping out every possible food angle there.

I know everyone cheers when the Mets are ripping the ball, but what was the feeling when Mr. “Ready to drop the UN from the UNClutch” Wright jacked that ball in the 1st? To me, on the TV, it was perfect mixture of Great Joy and Great Relief. Kind of like, OK, he’s back… we’re going to be ok… :)

I actually forgot to mention Warthen, he got some boos as well.

Probably should’ve deleted the blurry pictures, but eh.

Haha, I was thinking that too!

Went once to the Acela Club last year, and the food was VERY good; surprisingly so.

Different world in all ways from the Grill Room and Diamond Club at Shea. Really incredible views too.

Ceetar thanks for sharing spent last night scanning through them I was happy to see you took so many pics from almost every section of the stadium.

Ha. scanning through them. I probably should’ve deleted some fuzzy ones, cropped some other ones, a bit of lightening..

Awesome, ceetar. Sorry I missed you and rustyjr yesterday. I was a few seats to the left and the deck above Wright’s blast. That place was shaking!

I loved the boos for the training staff. Oh Ray Ramirez :p And as much crap as I talk about Francoeur, he was awesome to us fans in RF. He really gets what it’s all about.

Francoeur’s a cool guy. Just hope he hits half as good as how nice he seems.
