I know that the rockies are supposed to be one of the top teams in the NL, but after their ace (what’s his name),they don’t have a particularly impressive pitching staff.

Just yanking your chain. Although I think you were making a different point, which is that even though the Roxs SP might suck, the Mets won’t hit it since they couldn’t touch Livan.
maybe the Mets loosen up on the road, away from their “fans”

I’ve given up predicting, according to status and match ups, what might happen on any given night anymore.
I, along with just about everyone else including the Mets, thought the Santana/Livan match up would be a no brainer.
So…..we’ll probably sweep the Rockies scoring something like 25 runs through the series, doing it with the worst line up Jerry can put together – like Jacobs batting clean up again.

Did anyone ever think that perhaps Barajas, Jacobs, GMJ, Cora and the pitchers spot taking up 5 of the 9 positions in the lineup puts an inordinate amount of stress to produce on the 4 quality hitters in the lineup. Although you may love Barajas right now because he has some power his career OPS is .692. You may have unrealistic expectations for this lineup. When all the injured get back you may see this team put points on the board.
