my guess is with Nick the Stick, Duda, Neuewinheis, and Guzman in the OF and Hubbard at DH for Binghamton, they dont have enough AB for Maldonado at AA.
Im sure they feel he is ready but they dont want to cut AB of the other players…

they can move up Duda to AAA when they recall Carter to replace Cata!
