Video: Ted Berg’s “GM For The Day”

Ted Berg of TedQuarters.net did a funny segment over at McFaddens called” GM for the day”. For the record I think Jared got robbed he clearly had the best idea (note hint of sarcasm).

I sent a group email this morning but got no response so I’ll repeat here: I can’t do the post game tonight. I should be back tomorrow.

Unrelated to that. There are 16 teams in the National League. Here for fun are some selected team offensive rankings of the Mets in the NL.

Runs scored – 14th (the 2 teams ranked below them have played 1 fewer game)

    Hits – 12th

    Doubles – 16th

    Home runs – tied 12th

    Total bases – 13th

    RBI – 14th

    Batting average – 14th

    OBP – 14th

    SLG – 15th

    OPS – 15th

Strikeouts – 3rd (as in 3rd most strikeouts)

about the only offense categories in which the team is doing well are triples, sacrifice bunts and sacrifice flies.

    Something’s got to give.

Good afternoon Grave sorry for not replying I been bad with email lately. Hope everything’s ok.

I’m sure while not as entertaining as your postgames of course, worst case scenario we can simply drop in the box score.

well, I think it means they should get better. and hopefully soon.

no way this many guys in their primes can possibly stay this far below their career norms. Even with Jerry in charge. I hope.

Also hope all is well Grave; a loss without a Grave Postgame Notion will indeed be a harsh and rancid night.

But as far as the stats go, you are right, something does have to give.

Surely they will stop hitting triples and sac flies soon.

I have no fear that the sacrifice bunts will end though.

      :-)

Well, looking at these stats and watching the games, it certainly does seem to jive, no?
      Sigh….

Over the weekend, I though they said Mets were 4th in team ERA though. Can’t imagine that after last night, they still hold that distinction.

That’s why Jerry loves the sac bunts… they get us up there in at least one offensive category. Ugh.

      Hope all is well Grave.

as long as Jerry and Castillo are on the team, I would think the MEts have that catagory in the bag.

I loved the 1 comment posted on Ted’s blog to that thread. I am sure TRS would get a kick out of it too.
