Not to kick you while you’re down, but according to Adam Rubin’s twitter:
Johan Santana will pitch Game 1. Oliver Perez will pitch Game 2. John Maine pitches Wednesday.

wow. an actually double header. I thought teams always went with the dual admissions plan these days.
Certainly a lot easier, but I guess with such short notice they would have problems selling many tickets for an unplanned day game.
Wonder why they don’t start this earlier? The 2nd game may not start until 9:00 if the first game goes a little long. Should be able to start at 2:00 just as easily, and be pretty sure of getting game 2 going by 7:10.

I was wondering that same thing myself concerning the start time.
Wish I lived closer. I’d happily take tomorrow off from work for the chance to see two games for the price of one. Plus would give me plenty of ‘roaming’ time to take in Citi field.

If the Mets were selling out each game as say the RedSox do or most of the seats for each game as say the Yankees do they would have separate admissions for each game. As it is this action helps improve and bridge the team to fans relations.
