Santana has allowed one run in 13 1/3 innings over his past two starts, and he’s off to an exceptional start, walking only six and striking out 22 in his first 24 1/3 innings. Santana is 2-0 with a 0.61 ERA in two career starts against the Dodgers. … The pain in starter John Maine’s left (non-pitching) elbow didn’t stop him from throwing a bullpen session before Sunday’s game. Maine, who left his last start early, remains on track for his next start on Wednesday.

Kuroda didn’t have his best stuff during his Wednesday start against the Reds, when he allowed six runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks in 5 2/3 innings. But he kept the game close to finish with the win. And despite the rough outing, he still has the best ERA on the staff and is the only one with two wins. Kuroda (2.18 ERA) and right-hander Clayton Kershaw sport a combined 2.68 ERA this season. The rest of the staff — Vicente Padilla, Haeger and Chad Billingsley — sport a combined 6.32 ERA. Kuroda, however, has struggled against the Mets, going 0-2 with a 10.45 ERA in three career starts.

Either, RF
Kemp, CF
Blake, 3B
Loney, 1B

Wow, Johan’s velocity is way down so far. Throwing 86 mph heaters to Carroll and hasn’t hit 90 yet. But if anybody can get by with subpar stuff, it’s Johan.

Ok, time to cut the cord with GMJ. Cut him and Cat lose. Free Carter and Pridie (I’d say Evans but they need a backup CF)

I really don’t understand Manuel’s love of Nieve. He walks almost a guy per inning……

Bet anyone a $1 that he comes into the 2nd game too!
maybe we get lucky and Ollie goes 7 or 8 in the 2nd game of the sweep!
