Havens Activated

Per Adam Rubin’s twitter:

  • Former first-round pick Reese Havens, who was injured in spring training, has been added to St. Lucie’s roster.

So at least there is something Mets-related going on today :-)

Shavin' Havens?

I take it this means he’s off the DL?

Did anyone see the near perfect game RA Dickey pitched yesterday?
Was at my parents trying to work through cable problems with their TVs and had SNY on while doing it. I noticed Dickey was pitching but wasn’t paying much attention. Wish I had…..

That’s the luck of a Knuckler. Next game he will give up 8 in 2 innings.

Yeah I’ve got nothing in particular to say about the upcoming series, just sort of waiting for it to start, but I thought we needed a post and this item just presented itself.

It’s hard to predict what to expect from this series there are just too many unknowns.

excellent news…hopefully he can stay productive and healthy….

now he just needs to hit the crap out of the ball for the rest of the year, show at least respectable defense at 2B, and most importantly, don’t get hurt again.

That, and a solid winter (like Davis had last year), and he could be in the mix in ST. At least enough to get the Davis treatment of “winning” the job, but starting out in AAA anyway.

by next year, Luis’s contract will be a non issue.

From what I remember, Havens is at PSL to tune up, and will go back to AA to be the everyday 2B. I hope he plays 2B everyday at least.

    So this on csnphilly.com:

Little known fact about Davis: He was the guy the Phillies were angling for in the first round of the draft two years ago. The Phils actually thought he was going to get to them at 24th overall before the Mets grabbed him at 18. The Phils ended up taking Anthony Hewitt, an infielder who has been moved to the outfield. Davis played first base, pitcher and outfield at Arizona State. The Phils would have played him in the outfield, but the point is moot now.
