Tell The Real Dirty Mets How To Use Their Facebook Page

First of all TRDM has had a Facebook page for a longtime.  You can access it here:  TRDM on Facebook.

For those who are frequent Facebook users you can see that we have not exactly figured out how to use Facebook effectively.  I barely know what I am doing and spend little time on the site.  At this point the only purpose that it serves is to show recent post from TRDM site.  I know it could be much more as Facebook has millions of members.  So today I ask the fanbase of TRDM to tell us how we can use Facebook to meet the needs of our readers as well as attract more readers.

      1. CaseStreet

I’m only good for ideas, plus I might be taking a hiatus until after the Bar.

To be honest, with only 87 fans there is not much you could do.

But neither one of these old guys is Iketastic!

    2. trs86

So it shows Pujols is the best slugger and Howard the best HR hitter. Depends on how you ask the question and what your defintion of slugger is.

    3. GravediggerHebner

yeah I posted all that in that conversation yesterday. I guess I used invisible ink ;-)

My bad Grave I was just so bored today that I did that to entertain myself with something and simply forgot that you did publish that.

        1. GravediggerHebner

The important thing is that when you were bored you found something productive to do with your time, I’m very proud of you.

I have a tip that worked for me. I threw it out there and asked if anyone would like to represent MMO on Facebook. Denise took it from 0-500 in no time (we started in April 09) and she absolutely loves it. Find somebody that likes spending time online, loves the Mets, loves talking to other fans. You’ll be surprised at how many Facebook devotees would love to do this for you.

Also another tip, ditch that share button and make sure you add TweetMeme and Facebook Follow to your posts. You will find both those plugins on your wrodpress plugin search page. Not only are they highly visible and easy for your readers to promote with just one click, but you get great stat reports that will enable you to tweak things for maximum impact.

I hope this helps you guys. And I hope things are going great in your neck of the woods, with the season going into high gear I dont make the rounds as often as I do during the season, but I still read your blogs and think you all do a great job. LGM! YGB!

    1. joed1

that should read during the “off season”.

    2. trs86

Thanks Joed. I will get on those things.
