Joe P. is obviously a true Met fan with the pulse on what’s going down with this team. ‘Cut out the Perez, give Nieve a rest and no more GMJ’. Short, sweet, to the point…..

+1 to him on that, for sure.

Uh… why is Tatis batting 4th when Ike hit a 3-run HR yesterday… and even if it makes sense to rest Ike today, Tatis batting 4th? According to MC blog, Tatis has career record of 3/31 against Wolf with 10 Ks… and you bat him cleanup? After the 2 bad losses? Against a team that has bad pitching? While Wright is batting .244? and with Blanco catching?

    Ugh…

WOw, I saw that Tatis was playing, but didn’t realize they put him in the 4 hole.

Just another Jidiotism. Whoever you replace, you hit in their spot in the line up. Guess so he doesn’t upset the delicate balance?

So Cora hits 2nd, and now Tatis 4th. If he rested wright, Tatis would hit 5th.

And of course, if GMjr. got a spot start in LF, he would hit 3rd!

I really don’t think it would mess anyone up too bad to hit Wright 4th instead of 5th (since he is already a giant mess). Heck, hit pagan 4th. Even Frenchy.

      But not tatis.

how can a team consider itself to be a viable PS contender, when they have used tatis, Cat and Jacobs as the starting CU hitter?

But, Ike getting a day off vs. a LHSP is not a bad idea.

Very much agreed on this point with Tatis.

As for Ike, he’s a young kid. Does he really need a rest?

Yeah, I asked that same question on the last thread. Tatis clean-up? Mind boggling. I knew last year he did that, but give last year a pass as we didn’t have many who were ML talent left on that team…
