HAHA!!
I think he does dress up and entertain kids’ parties in that outfit to supplement his allowance.
Except I would be surprised if he actually wears an orange and blue clown suit…I would think Dad would dress him up in strictly Brooklyn Dodgers colors…

From mlbtr
Perez is a waste of a roster spot for the Mets, as manager Jerry Manuel struggled to tell Puma which game scenario would prompt use of the lefty. Perez is not wanted by his teammates – Puma talked to a pair of Mets who recommend releasing him if he won’t go to Triple A.
Wow when your own team mates want you gone that speaks volumes

The pair of teammates was dickey and Valdes in an attempt to bolster their position on the staff.
Of Course I just made that up but it makes you wonder which 2 teammates said it and why.

Yeah I was somewhat shocked that two guys, even anonymously, would say that to a reporter. It’s one thing to think it/believe it, another to say it to “them.”

Entirely possible it was not quite so difinitive. SOmteimtes questions are asked in a a”what if” conceptual basis, but the answers get spun into something different.
Like If I asked you “if your wife slept with eveyr man in the neighborhood, threw out your baseball card collection, scratched up your ’65 COrvette, and kicked your dog, would you leave her”. Then reported the answer as “Hebs leaving wife!”

I think this is the FO leaking stories to try and force Ollie’s hand.
Not that I’m above realizing some of his teammates might be thinking this. Just can’t see them commenting to the press about it.

Or it’s just completely made up by the press.

Let us pray that Figgy does not wind up back in a Met uniform….

At this point MLB should really consider replacing the term “Designated for Assignment” with “Getting Figgyed”. For all of Nelson’s effort at least give the poor schmoe something to be remembered for in MLB.
Now if we could just Figgy Ollie…
